IBF Champion Brook Backing Mayweather
Kell Brook admits Floyd Mayweather's clash with Manny Pacquiao is hard to call - but believes home advantage will help the American in the fight of the century.
Las Vegas resident Mayweather takes on the Filipino fighter on his home turf in a showdown between boxing's top two pound-for-pound fighters on 2 May.
The American has not fought outside of his adopted desert city in a decade and boasts an unblemished record of 47-0.
Pacquiao, who has five defeats and two draws in 64 contests, has fought 13 times in Vegas, one more than Mayweather over the same period.
"I keep changing my mind, it's one of them," fellow welterweight Brook told Sky Sports. "But I'm leaning towards Floyd Mayweather.
"He's never lost before, he knows how to win and it's in Vegas. I think Mayweather is going to control the pace and I think he's too clever for Manny Pacquiao.
"Pacquiao has got to be smart. The way he comes forward, he has to chuck a lot of shots at different angles, but be smart doing it.
"To be honest I see it going all the way. But I still think if Manny Pacquiao starts rushing in and gets desperate later on in the fight, I could see him walking onto a shot, but I think it's got the distance written all over it."
Brook is due to defend his IBF version of the welterweight title on 30 May against domestic rival Frankie Gavin, who also favours the American to prevail.
"It's fantastic really, the biggest fight probably that boxing has ever seen," said the Birmingham southpaw, Britain's only ever world amateur champion.
"There is only going to be two welterweight world title fights in May, well in the world really. One is involving me and Kell Brook, and the other Mayweather-Pacquiao.
"But I think Mayweather is going to beat him comfortably."
