Infant Kidnapped From Park After Mother, Another Woman Found Dead and Sibling, 5, Shot in Head
Eleia Maria Torres was found alive days after she was allegedly kidnapped by a suspect police say killed her mother
A 10-month-old girl has been found alive days after she was allegedly kidnapped from a park where her mother and another woman were found dead alongside the child’s sibling who sustained a gunshot injury to her head, per authorities.
Eleia Maria Torres was located and taken to a local hospital as a “precautionary measure,” Clovis Police Department said in an announcement on Monday morning, three days after she was allegedly taken from a park near Clovis, N.M., prompting an Amber Alert for the child.
A suspect is in custody in connection with the alleged kidnapping and killings, FBI Albuquerque confirmed with PEOPLE on May 6.
On May 3, Clovis police responded to a report of two women found dead at Ned Houk Park. There they discovered the bodies of Samantha Cisneros and Taryn Allen, both 23, according to a statement released at the time.
Cisneros and Allen were both deceased, police said in the statement, but a young girl was found next to them and was suffering a gunshot wound to the head. She was rushed to the hospital. Police did not provide any information about her current condition in their Monday statement.

Police found “an infant car seat, an infant stroller and a small baby bottle” at the site where the women and child were discovered, they said in their statement.
Investigators determined that Cisneros was the mother of Eleia and the child, according to the statement. They added that they believed the child was kidnapped by the same "perpetrator" who killed and Cisneros and Allen and shot Eleia's sibling.
According to KRQE, KCBD and CNN Eleia's sibling is 5 years old.
The fathers of both children have been cooperating with the investigation, authorities said, according to The Albuquerque Journal and CNN.
No further information was available about the suspect at this time.
