Jared Leto gave his London fans a moment to remember this week when he joined them for an acoustic singalong in Piccadilly Circus.
The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman and Oscar-winning actor had tipped off fans that he was planning on meeting up with some of them as his world tour arrived in the capital, and he was joined by an adoring crowd in the centre of London on Monday.
Leto can be seen in videos of the exciting appearance arriving at Piccadilly Circus on foot and carrying a guitar as he said hello to the crowd. Fans gathered close around him as he walked to the Eros statue at the London landmark and climbed up onto its steps where buskers often perform.
He asked: "Should I stand higher?" as the crowd cheered him on. Leto looked taken aback by a passerby shouting something out and one of the crowd joked: "Welcome to London!"
Launching into some of his band's hits, Leto announced: "This song is called The Kill," as he started the singalong.
Earlier on Monday, the Dallas Buyers Club star had let his social media followers know his plans by posting: "What's up, London? Today, Eros statue in Piccadilly...We're gonna come, say hello, maybe play a couple songs. Shhh. See you soon."

Leto's lucky fans even got to walk through London with him afterwards as he headed back to his Mayfair hotel on foot, surrounded by the crowd.
He later posted a video of the singalong on Instagram, captioning it "London we love you," as well as adding "hanging with friends" to a shot of the packed crowd at Piccadilly Circus.
Thirty Seconds to Mars is currently on a world tour which reached the UK this week and continues into next week. They played the O2 Arena in London on Wednesday, Glasgow on Thursday, and are in Manchester tonight with dates in Birmingham and Cardiff still to come.
However, the band got a subdued reception for their official London performance as the O2 Arena gig had many empty seats at the huge venue.
