Jennifer Lawrence Paired Her Cozy Spring Layers With the Season’s Most Divisive Shoe

Marc Piasecki

The sun may have come out in New York City, but Jennifer Lawrence is staying cozy, thankyouverymuch. The Oscar winner stepped out in a bunch of comfy layers, wearing Alo leggings, socks, and cork-soled clogs (which might be slippers, TBH) with a large brown coat and a scarf wrapped around her head.

Lawrence, a master of balancing basics using a less-is-more approach, accessorized the bundled-up ensemble with tortoiseshell sunglasses, AirPods, a yellow-cased iPhone, and a blue HydroFlask. That's right, Stanley Cup girlies! Lawrence is a millennial and proud of it! I, for one, am still using the Nalgene I got for summer camp in middle school, but anyway…what were we talking about?

J.Law is just the latest celeb to step out in clogs, the once derided footwear that's become a go-to for the low-maintenance gal on the go. Gisele Bündchen wore high-heel platform leather clogs in September, and Dr. Marten has gotten in on the trend. And we know the Hunger Games star isn't afraid to experiment with potentially controversial shoe styles, as she previously stepped out in the ballet flat version of the naked dress (just look and you'll get it).

In addition to rocking quiet luxury like a pro, the super-sophisticated actor recently reminded America that she is, after all, bombshell Jennifer Lawrence, and she can turn the glam up to 11 whenever she wants. She arrived at the Oscars spray-tanned to the gods and looking like she just wandered off the set of Barbie, her long blonde hair almost as shiny as her diamond necklace. Her polka-dot gown was a custom look from the Dior's spring 2024 haute couture collection, and she looked absolutely radiant as she presented a trophy to bestie Emma Stone. But will she be the one to bring clogs to the red carpet? If anyone can, Jennifer Lawrence is it.
