Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck put on a united front amid divorce speculation

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck put on a united front at his son's basketball game in Los Angeles on Sunday amid speculation the Hollywood couple are heading for divorce.

The Hustlers star, 54, and the Argo director, 51, arrived separately at a local YMCA to support his 12-year-old son, Samuel, but were pictured smiling alongside each other as they walked into the venue together.

Their united front comes amid reports that Affleck had moved out of the pair’s house “weeks ago”, claiming that the pair have been living separately for some time.

Then last week, the singer was quizzed on whether the breakup rumours were true while promoting her new Netflix film in Mexico City. When an audience member asked, Lopez batted off the question, responding: “You know better than that,” but didn’t directly deny the claims.

Lopez has been promoting her latest film without Affleck by her side and he was notably absent from the Met Gala earlier this month, despite the fact the singer was a co-chairwoman.

After the event, she was hit with criticism after barely acknowledging the reporters who lined the Met’s steps. When one Us Today reporter asked her who she was wearing, J.Lo responded with a clipped “Schiaparelli” and no more.

Notably, Affleck’s friend Matt Damon and his wife Luciana were in attendance at the star-studded fashion event in New York.

Their outing comes days after she cancelled her This Is Me… Live tour dates in the US.

On Friday, Live Nation announced the 2024 summer tour was cancelled, saying: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”

Lopez addressed her fans through her On the J.Lo newsletter, writing: “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down.

“Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”

The tour, which was dogged with rumours of poor ticket sales, was initially in support of her ninth studio album This Is Me… Now and was set to kick off in Orlando on June 26.

Live Nation reassured fans that they will be automatically refunded in a statement.
