Jenny McCarthy's Son Evan Moved Back Home After College — and She Loves It (Exclusive)
The 'Masked Singer' host says she has no qualms about him moving back home and wants him to stay forever but he's only promising to give her 'two years'
When Jenny McCarthy's son Evan Asher moved back home to live with his mom and stepdad Donnie Wahlberg after finishing college last year, McCarthy says she welcomed him with open arms.
"I keep telling Evan, 'I want you to live with me forever! I love having you here,' " McCarthy, 51, tells PEOPLE, of having him back with her in Chicago where she lives.
However, she says her 21-year-old son feels slightly different.
"He keeps telling me, 'I'll give you two years,' " she says with a laugh. "I'm like, 'Thanks, buddy.'"
McCarthy, who has written several books about raising her son Evan, who was diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum when he was young, says she still can't believe he's all grown up and done with college.

"It's weird how it happens," she says. "It's an oncoming train. You have to enjoy the moments when they're young. People would tell me this and I'd be like 'Yeah, yeah, yeah,' but it's crazy. Once they're in high school, you only have a few years where they're left under your control."
Unless, of course, they go into the family business. McCarthy says Evan worked on the crew of last season's Masked Singer, and will likely follow in her showbiz footsteps.
"He already is, in his own unique way," she says.
"He has a successful YouTube channel with Gaming USA and makes a ton of his own content. He gets a lot of views and loves making them. Our house is like a content creation house, I swear to God. There are cameras and lights in every room. I literally sewed him a full-blown Masked Singer costume last week."
She adds, "He's very confident. Nothing can stop him."
McCarthy notes that despite Evan's comfort in front of a camera making YouTube videos, she's still glad she decided to raise Evan out of Los Angeles.
"I lived in L.A. for 20 years, but when Evan turned 8, I was like, I need a community for these kids. I need a safe space, and I want to raise my son with my girlfriends," she says. "So I moved back here."
She says that even her friends — and her fans — can't believe how old he is now. "It's funny because people read my baby books that I wrote about him when he was young, and they think he's still a baby. They go, 'What do you mean, he's done with college?!"
She adds that Evan was also the inspiration behind her line of clean beauty products, Formless Beauty, which is free of harmful chemicals.
"After he was born and diagnosed as someone who was sensitive, it opened up my eyes to really pay attention to what I'm putting in me, what I'm putting in him. It just woke me up."
