The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the LA's Finest actress will star in the forthcoming thriller Trigger Warning for the streaming service.

Written by Josh Olsen (A History of Violence) and John Brancato (Terminator: Salvation), Trigger Warning follows a traumatised veteran (Alba) who faces a moral dilemma after inhering a bar from her grandfather and discovering the grisly truth behind his unexpected death.

Trigger Warning will be Jessica's first film since starring in Killer's Anonymous alongside Gary Oldman last year.

The film's announcement follows a string of other Netflix thrillers soon coming to the streamer, including Knives Out and No Time To Die actress Ana De Armas' political thriller The Wasp Network.

Based on Fernando Morais' non-fiction book The Last Soldiers on the Cold War: The Story of the Cuban Five, The Wasp Network follows a Cuban pilot who leaves his wife and daughter in Havana to start a new life in Florida where he joins a group of Cuban exiles who spy on organisations linked to Fidel Castro.

It will be available to stream from June 19.
