Jonathan Owens is one proud husband!

For the second day, the Chicago Bears safety, 28, watched as his wife and four-time Olympic gold medalist, Simone Biles, competed in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics team trials at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

After Biles finished her uneven bars routine on Sunday, June 30, he leapt to his feet to cheer her on — a moment that wasn't missed by the TV cameras.

Before the first day of the women's competition, on Friday, June 28, the 27-year-old Biles posted on her Instagram Stories that she and Owens had a date night — "on a date, kinda nervous," she playfully wrote over a clip of her clinking drinks with her husband.

Biles later posted a series of photos on her Instagram Stories from what appeared to be a relaxing and romantic date night with Owens, 28, on Saturday, June 29.

"WHYYYYY," Biles wrote over a snap of Owens' face as he posed in a car next to a pair of Louis Vuitton bags.

Owens kissed his wife in the next video, and they clinked glasses of colorful drinks for a toast in the next slide. Another photo showed that Biles is not above enjoying a burger before a competition.

The final photo in the set showed that Owens makes grand and sentimental gestures when celebrating his wife: He grinned for the camera while holding a pot full of pink roses in the sweet snapshot.

A vocal support of his wife, Owens has often celebrated Biles' performances over the years, and even took to X (formerly known as Twitter) in 2023 to reflect on her historic win at the world championships. "Elite!!!!! 🐐," he posted at the time.

Prior to that, Owens was in attendance at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas in 2021. There Biles won the individual all-around gold after taking the vault, balance beam and floor routine events.

Following her win, the NFL player posted a message after the event's conclusion. "What an amazing experience 👏🏽 First time getting to watch you compete in person and you didn't disappoint," Owens wrote on Instagram. "It's so cool that i get to watch you do what you love, and be the best at that ‼️ I'm so proud of you my lil champ 🥰❤️ Trials up next and you already know I'm there!!"

"Love you baby ❤️❤️," he concluded.

Owens and Biles got married in 2023 after they first started dating in March 2020.

The couple tied the knot during an intimate courthouse wedding in Texas on April 22, 2023, with Biles and Owens both celebrating the moment on Instagram. "I do 🤍 officially owens 🤍," Biles captioned a series of photos. Owens published a similar post and wrote: "My person, forever ❤️💍."

The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary on April 22, 2024 with an Instagram post to commemorate the occasion. "This is your sign to marry your best friend," the Olympian wrote.

Biles, meanwhile, seems to be a lock to earn her spot in the upcoming Paris Summer Olympics but will still be competing alongside and against 15 other women vying for a spot on Team USA.
