Josh Brolin Is a Merch-Wearing Swiftie Dad

Josh Brolin is a contemporary multi-hyphenate: Oscar-nominated actor. Erstwhile Hans Zimmer collaborator. And, incidentally, card-carrying Swiftie dad.

The Dune: Part Two actor has touted his affinity for Taylor Swift in the past—as early as 2018, when he was still listening “secretly,” and as recently as last summer, when he attended the pop star’s sold-out Eras Tour show in Los Angeles with wife Kathryn and their 4-year-old daughter Westlyn. Brolin, who recently waxed rhapsodic about his Dune: Part Two costars in a promotional coffee-table book, shared a similarly poetic review of the show on Instagram, describing the concert as a “spectacular three hour show that happily frenzied children and tickled sunshine into adults.”

This week, Brolin doubled-down on his public Swift appreciation by donning a black Eras Tour merch T-shirt en route to his Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, where he was promoting his upcoming memoir—another gig to tack onto his multi-hyphenate résumé. He paired the tee with a worn-in leather biker jacket, whiskered blue jeans, and a merch trucker cap for the 1971 motorcycle documentary On Any Sunday. (Brolin, like fellow biker-slash-prestige-actors Keanu Reeves and Daniel Day-Lewis, tends to wear his gearhead credentials on his sleeve—or, in this case, his head.)

On that note, what do we think is Josh Brolin’s favorite song from Tortured Poets Department? My money’s on one of the Aaron Dessner tracks. Very dad-core.
