Justin Bieber's Mom Pattie Addressed Rumors That Hailey's Pregnant With Twins

There was speculation over her use of the term "grand-babies."

It's been less than 24 hours since Justin and Hailey Bieber announced they were expecting their first child together, and already, rumors about the pregnancy have run rampant on the internet. The first being that the couple is having twins, which was inadvertently started by Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, who initially sparked speculation while celebrating the happy news. 

Commenting on a post from Hailey's father, Stephen Baldwin, congratulating the couple on their pregnancy, Mallette wrote: "Congratulations Grandpa! WE ARE GONNA HAVE THE CUTEST GRAND-BABIES EVER!" Naturally, the plural use of the word "grand-babies" had fans wondering if there was more than one baby Bieber on the way. But Mallette was quick to clarify her comment. 

“No not twins lol I wish. I just mean in general. Hopefully they will have more than one eventually," she confirmed, adding: "They will make beautiful babies whenever they have them. One is enough for now 😂.”

Hailey, who is already six months along, debuted her bump in a custom white lace Saint Laurent wedding gown and a matching headscarf, as she and Justin renewed their wedding vows in Hawaii with a black-and-white clip posted to Instagram.

“Hailey and Justin are thrilled to be expecting a baby together," a source told Entertainment Tonight shortly after their sweet announcement video. "They have wanted this for a long time and can't wait to expand their family and bring a child into the world. Hailey and Justin are united and have been on the same page when it comes to parenthood. They have experienced so much together as a couple and feel ready to take this next step in their lives and relationship."

The insider added, "Hailey is such a natural caretaker and Justin knows she will be the best mom, and Hailey has always thought that Justin will make an amazing dad. Hailey, Justin, their families and loved ones are so excited for this beautiful blessing."
