Kansas State Wildcats unveil nonconference schedule for 2023-24 basketball season

Jerome Tang is going to challenge the Kansas State men’s basketball team early on next season.

The Wildcats unveiled the nonconference portion of their schedule for the 2023-24 season on Monday, and it features six games against teams from other power conferences.

That means K-State will start the year off with a neutral-court game against Southern California in Las Vegas and then go on to play Providence, Georgia or Miami, Villanova, LSU and Nebraska.

K-State will host Villanova and Nebraska at Bramlage Coliseum. The Wildcats will travel to LSU for a road game. They will play Providence and then either Georgia or Miami in the Baha Mar Hoops Championship before Thanksgiving in the Bahamas.

The Wildcats will also play Wichita State at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on December 21.

Tang is hopeful that lining up that many quality opponents will help prepare the Wildcats for Big 12 play.
