Kate Middleton Wears 70s-Inspired Shirt To Kick Off 24 Hour Solo Tour Of The UK
Kate Middleton has embarked on a solo tour of the UK, visiting several cities all in the name of her work on early years childhood services.
The Duchess of Cambridge has launched a new survey, '5 big questions on the under 5s' (with pollsters Ipsos MORI) with the aim of sparking a conversation on raising the next generation.
To launch the survey, the Duchess first visited Birmingham Science museum on Tuesday afternoon where viewed the 'MiniBrum' interactive mini-city display where she met children and their parents and carers.
For the visit, Kate wore a green chevron stripe seventies-style pussy-bow blouse by Tabitha Webb (a designer that Kate's sister Pippa has previously collaborated with for charity) paired with some wide-leg black trousers as she was seen playing with the children.
Next up, Kate is scheduled to arrive in Cardiff on Wednesday. In the Welsh capital, she will attend a baby sensory class where she will meet staff and parents.
The survey, which will run for a month on behalf of the Royal Foundation, asks questions about the importance of good mental health and wellbeing in childhood.
Ever since joining the royal family, early years welfare and intervention has been a cause close to the mother-of-three's heart and at the end of last year, the Duchess spent some days shadowing midwives on a maternity ward in London.
Speaking at the launch of the survey in Birmingham on Tuesday, Kate said: 'As a parent, I know how much we cherish the future health and happiness of our children. I want to hear the key issues affecting our families and communities so I can focus my work on where it is needed most.
'My ambition is to provide a lasting change for generations to come.'
