Kate shows off her maternal side on a visit with moms and infants at Sheway

The Duchess of Cambridge found time while at a pregnancy outreach program with Prince William to share a tender moment with a young girl. The Sunday (Sept. 25) visit will have been especially poignant for mother-of-two Kate, and as she interacted with babies - many of whom were the same age as her own daughter, Princess Charlotte - her maternal instinct was clearly evident!

With William by her side Kate, 34, also spent time speaking with new mothers about their experiences of overcoming addiction, expressing interest as each of the ladies shared their stories.

It was the first engagement of the couple's second day in Canada. Just a short while earlier, they touched down in Vancouver on-board a seaplane, and were treated to a warm official welcome to the city from local dignitaries.

William and Kate spent just under an hour at Sheway, located in the downtown eastside of Vancouver. The program provides health and social service support to pregnant women and women with infants under 18 months who are dealing with drug and alcohol issues.

Prince William and Kate bonded with babies at the centre.

Following their visit, the couple set off to visit the Immigrant Services Society, a charitable organisation that provides targeted programs for refugees, women, children and youth, including people recently relocated from Syria.
