Kelly Osbourne Says Bad 'Bathroom Etiquette' Kills Relationships: 'As Far as I'm Concerned, Nobody Poops' (Exclusive)

The TV personality tells PEOPLE that when a couple starts talking about their days while on the toilet, " the romance is gone"

Kelly Osbourne likes to keep her romance smelling rosy!

While talking about dating and relationship rules in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE alongside her mom Sharon Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne to promote Osbourne Media House, Kelly, 39, says she has one strict boundary she won't cross with her partner.

"There are certain rules like bathroom etiquette, you have to have it in your relationship. One of my No. 1 rules is I don't want to know when you need to use the bathroom," the "Shut Up" singer says.

"As far as I'm concerned, nobody poops, because when you break down that wall and you are having conversations about your day and while someone's pooping, the romance is gone."

In Kelly's opinion, for a romantic relationship to thrive, "you've got to save something" for yourself, and her bathroom schedule is where she draws the line.

The TV personality has been dating her Slipknot rocker boyfriend Sid Wilson since early 2022 and they welcomed a son named Sidney at the end of that year.

While the Osbournes agree with Kelly that a key rule is to put "family first," Jack, 38, says he also follows the adage "don't go to bed angry," while the Osbourne family matriarch, 71, says you have to love your partner and consider them your best friend.

Sharon and her kids described a time when she definitely broke her daughter's bathroom etiquette rule on her family's show The Osbournes Podcast in November 2023.

On the episode, the family recalled Sharon pooping on her husband Ozzy Osbourne's stash of marijuana, presumably so he wouldn't smoke it while on a family vacation.

As the story goes, Kelly found her dad's stash and brought it to her mom, who asked her if she needed to use the bathroom.

"And I said, ‘No, I’m not doing this again for you. I’m not going to s--- in Dad’s drugs," Kelly said on the episode, for which Ozzy, 75, was absent.

So, Sharon took the task upon herself and defecated into the Ziploc bag filled with drugs, "zipped it back up again and put it back. When he found out, he went nuts and chased us down the hallway," Kelly recalled.

Jack remembered his dad being so mad at his wife that he "nearly knocked a door off a hinge at this hotel we were in." The incident occurred in 1995 when the family was staying at the Four Seasons hotel in Hawaii.

"It was dirt weed. It had seeds in it," Kelly added.
