Kennetcook brush fire, near Rhine's Road, contained

A brush fire near Kennetcook, N.S. is now contained and controlled, according to Provincial Department of Natural Resources.

Five volunteer fire departments responded to the fire, which burned through five hectares of brush.

Spokesperson Bruce Nunn said buildings weren't effected and no one was hurt.

A DNR helicopter was brought in to dump water on the blaze. It has now returned to its base.

Nunn says it's too early to say how the blaze started.
