Kenny Rogers bringing special Christmas tour to Newfoundland

Country legend Kenny Rogers is coming to Newfoundland for a series of special Christmas shows this November.

Rogers is bringing the 'Once Again It's Christmas' tour through Corner Brook, Clarenville and St. John's.

The singer, known for his hits such as The Gambler, is releasing a new Christmas album on September 25 in anticipation of the tour.

Rogers' previous holiday record was with Dolly Parton, titled Once Upon a Christmas. It went five-times platinum in Canada and two-times platinum in the United States.

Academy of Country Music Awards and 6 Country Music Association Awards.

In 2013 Rogers was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and received the Country Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale September 11 at 12:00 p.m., and range from $49.50 to $79.50 plus tax.
