Kim Kardashian Reveals the Viral SKIMS Nipple Bra Was Modeled After Her Own Breasts

When Kim Kardashian first launched her SKIMS Ultimate Nipple Bra in October 2023, the people went wild.

While some wrote off the bra as silly, many more praised the Kardashians star for the innovation: specifically breast cancer survivors who had had mastectomies. The nipple bras went viral and flew off the virtual shelves.

Now Kardashian, 43, is offering even more info about the lingerie.

While appearing on the April 22 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, she told host Jimmy Kimmel that the bras were actually sculpted to real life. Yes, those are her breasts.

"That is actually molded after my own boobs, yeah," she said.

Kimmel wondered if she would recognize her breasts if she saw someone on the street wearing the SKIMS bra and she said she probably would. She actually recalled a time when her sister Khloé Kardashian was wearing the nipple bra and Scott Disick said it was "inappropriate," but Khloé said it was fine because they're not actually her breasts, "they're Kim's."

But even Kardashian is aware that the nipple in this bra is a lot and not everyone wants quite that much showing, so she said there's a "half nip" bra in SKIMS' future. That way, you won't appear quite as "hard," she said, but you can still have the realistic appearance if you want it.

When Kardashian first announced the Ultimate Nipple Bra last year, she made a cheeky video for SKIMS, where she modeled the bra. She said in the video, “The earth’s temperature is getting hotter and hotter. The sea levels are rising. The ice sheets are shrinking. And I’m not a scientist, but I do believe everyone can use their skills to do their part."

The video then cut to the star pointing at a detailed diagram of the bra. “That’s why I’m introducing a brand new bra with a built-in nipple, so no matter how hot it is, you’ll always look cold,” she continued.

“Some days are hard, but these nipples are harder. And unlike these icebergs, these aren't going anywhere,” she said as the camera zoomed in on her chest (and the nipples).

While the video made a joke of the bra, many people in the comments loved it, and Kardashian further elaborated on the success while speaking with Kimmel. She added that SKIMS heard a lot of feedback from breast cancer survivors, which was very rewarding.
