Netflix has revealed that the third installment in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out trilogy will be titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. An exact release date has not yet been announced, though we do know that the film is due out in 2025.
The first installment in the Knives Out trilogy received a theatrical release in 2019. In it, Daniel Craig’s renowned detective, Benoit Blanc, investigated the circumstances surrounding the death of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey.
The star-studded ensemble included Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Christopher Plummer and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The second installment, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, bowed as a Netflix original in 2022. The sequel saw Craig’s Detective Blanc joined by a new cast of colorful suspects played by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
