Kourtney Kardashian Had '5 Failed IVF Cycles And 3 Retrievals' Before Getting Pregnant

The 45-year-old answered questions from fans in her Instagram Stories on Monday and opened up about her her own journey with in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Kourtney revealed that she did "5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals" before getting pregnant "100% naturally."
Kourtney Kardashian welcomed her son Rocky Thirteen in November, but she’s been open that her journey toward welcoming her fourth child was far from easy.
The 45-year-old answered questions from fans in her Instagram Stories on Monday and spoke to a fan about her own journey with in vitro fertilization (IVF). It started when one person wrote this: “Had 6 failed IVFs - how did you find the strength to keep going? It's debilitating 😪.”
Kourtney responded with this: “I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) my body relaxed and I believed in God's plan for my life,” she said. Kourtney also shared that she and her husband Travis Barker had “lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us.”
“Also lots of optimizing my health. 🙏🏻❤️,” she continued. “I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful.”
Kourtney followed that up by saying that she got pregnant “100% naturally.”
“I want to be super clear bc it seems my answer to the IVF question may have been confusing,” she said. “I got pregnant 100% naturally, NOT through IVF... one year after stopping IVF actually. Through God's blessing on Valentine's Day.”
In another Instagram Story, she shared that she holds her son during his naps. “New mumma here…Any tips on a baby who only likes to be held to take a nap?” someone wrote. “Enjoy every second!” Kourtney said. “We do the same. He's never been in his crib. It's my favorite thing in the world.”
Kourtney previously shared that she struggled with the physical effects of IVF, saying on The Kardashians that it “put me into menopause.” She also added that "the medication basically put me into depression."
Kourtney later shared on the show that she was surprised when she got pregnant without IVF. “I mean, people would always tell say to us, ‘When you stop trying, it's just going to happen,’” she said.
