After weeks of trying to persuade husband Jason Kelce to get a cat, Kylie Kelce has finally found a way to make it happen.

On Wednesday’s episode of the podcast New Heights with Travis and Jason Kelce, the brothers talked about Jason’s shirtless escapades at Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. The NFL tight end teased in a clip posted to Instagram that it was “pure pandemonium” when he watched his brother take his shirt off and jump into the crowd after Travis’ touchdown.

“I'll tell you man, if you don't run for president, then this is all gonna go to waste,” Travis, 34, joked.

Jason, 36, replied, “There’s nothing political about this. This is just a man in his element with his Bills mafia compadres enjoying the dead of winter, that's what this is.”

When Travis said he wished the cameras caught Jason’s wife Kylie’s reaction to the moment, Jason went on to say that he planned on it and warned his wife in advance.

“I'm not gonna lie, I gave Kylie a heads up,” Jason confessed. “I said, ‘The moment we get in that suit I’m taking my shirt off and I jumped out of that suit,’ and she said, ‘Jason, don’t you dare.’

He continued, “I'm like, ‘Hey I’m just letting you know what's happening. I’m not asking for permission, I’m doing this.’”

“Once a Kelce man is determined, there’s no f---ing stopping him,” Travis chimed in.

That part of the conversation stuck out to Kylie, who realized she could use her hubby’s words for her own benefit.

“‘I’m not asking for permission, I’m doing this.’ - the exact quote I will say when I’m grabbing the keys to go get a cat,” she commented on a clip the podcast’s Instagram account posted. That comment has since garnered over 55,000 likes.

New Heights' Instagram account then posted a screenshot of Kylie's comment with the caption, "Congrats on the new pet @jason.kelce 🐈😅"

On a previous episode of New Heights in December, Kylie and Travis discussed how they could work together to get Jason on board with adding a feline to his family.

"No, here's the deal, I told Jason that I want to get a cat," Kylie said. "And he told me no. And I feel like you might like cats now."

Jason and Travis also discussed why they found Jason’s antics Sunday particularly funny that night — it was the night Jason and Kylie were meeting Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift.

“She was already telling me to be on my best behavior because we were meeting Taylor,” Jason laughed before adding, “I'm like, ‘Kylie, when I met you, the first time I met you, I was blacked out drunk and fell asleep at the bar, this is part of the charm.”

The NFL brothers bantered about Jason’s bad behavior, with Jason standing his ground that he makes “the best first impression.”

“By best first impressions, you mean the worst first impression,” Travis said as the two broke out in laughter.

At the Jan. 21 game, Swift was seen sitting with the Kelce family — including Jason, Kylie and Donna Kelce.

The retired banking executive and grandmother of three “likes Taylor and thinks she’s very sweet and down to earth,” a source close to the family told PEOPLE last year.

“It's been a ride. That's for sure,” Donna, 71, said in November. “Sometimes I feel I'm on some kind of a different planet. I'm like, ‘What has my life become?”
