Lakeshore East service resumes after male struck, critically hurt by GO Train
A male is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a GO train west of the Pickering GO station on the Lakeshore East line on Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Metrolinx says tracks have fully reopened west of Pickering GO.
"All trains are on the move," Metrolinx says in its latest update on the GO Transit website.
Durham police said they were called to the scene at 3:10 p.m.
"The cause of the contact is still under investigation. Officers are on scene reviewing camera to determine what occurred," police said in an email on Wednesday.
