Lenny Kravitz Plans to Wing His Father-of-the-Bride Speech at Daughter Zoë's Wedding: 'Comes at the Moment'
The singer said he'll speak off the cuff — and "from the heart" — when he toasts Zoë and Channing Tatum at their upcoming nuptials
Lenny Kravitz isn't sweating the speech he'll give at daughter Zoë Kravitz's wedding.
The "Fly Away" singer, 59, said he plans to speak off the cuff when he gives his father-of-the-bride toast at Zoë's upcoming nuptials to fiancé Channing Tatum.
"It just comes at the moment. I don't rehearse those things," he told Entertainment Tonight at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday.
Instead of preparing a speech, he'll speak "from the heart" when he offers a few words in honor of the newlywed couple, he said.
Earlier this month, when asked about Zoë's engagement to Tatum, 43, Lenny told ET, "Hey, man. That's life."
He also expressed his happiness that the Big Little Lies star, 35, has found her match in Tatum. "When your family is happy, when your child is happy, that's it — I've done well. Blessed,” the proud dad said of Zoë, whom he shares with ex Lisa Bonet.

Zoë also shared how Tatum — who is a father to daughter Everly, 10, with ex-wife Jenna Dewan — supported her during the filming of her directorial debut, Pussy Island.

Zoë said his kindness and attentiveness was a good measure of the kind of partner he is. "I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger," she noted.
