How long will the blue skies stick around for Vancouver?

Another stunning, but chilly morning will give way to another beautiful blue sky day.

Morning temps are around -2 C across Metro Vancouver Thursday morning but it will feel more like -5 in the wind. Afternoon highs will get up around 6 C once again.

As for the long range, high pressure will continue to keep the arctic air mass in place. An inversion will develop beginning Friday, as cooler air remains locked in the valleys and plus-zero temperatures develop for the mountains.

There is still some discrepancy in the forecast models as to when exactly an approaching Pacific system will bring a change to the forecast — but it will happen early next week.
