How long will the blue skies stick around for Vancouver?
Another stunning, but chilly morning will give way to another beautiful blue sky day.
Morning temps are around -2 C across Metro Vancouver Thursday morning but it will feel more like -5 in the wind. Afternoon highs will get up around 6 C once again.
If you didn't catch the full moon last night — it will be looking full and bright again tonight in the clear skies. The November full moon is known a the Frost Moon as it is is accompanied by the first pre-winter chill.
As for the long range, high pressure will continue to keep the arctic air mass in place. An inversion will develop beginning Friday, as cooler air remains locked in the valleys and plus-zero temperatures develop for the mountains.
There is still some discrepancy in the forecast models as to when exactly an approaching Pacific system will bring a change to the forecast — but it will happen early next week.
