Long delays as M5 closed in both directions
Drivers are experiencing delays of more than 90 minutes while the M5 is shut in both directions.
The closure, which is due to a police-led incident, is in place between junction 24 for Huntworth and junction 23, near Bridgwater in Somerset.
Diversions are in place, with motorists being told to avoid the M5 and expect long delays.
Avon and Somerset Police are at the scene, as well as National Highways officers who are assisting with traffic management.
Those travelling northbound are advised to travel via the A38, then onto the A39, before arriving at the M5 junction 23 roundabout and rejoining the motorway.
Southbound traffic is being advised to travel via the A39, then onto the A38, before arriving at Huntworth lane and rejoining the motorway at junction 24.
