Louis Theroux praises "unflinching" Michael Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland after BAFTA win
The hard-hitting Michael Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland won the award for Factual Series at the Virgin Media BAFTA TV Awards last week, which has added fuel to the fiery debate about the allegations of child sexual abuse made in the documentary.
Directed by Dan Reed, Leaving Neverland spotlights the disturbing stories of Wade Robson and James Safechuck, two men who have accused the late King of Pop of grooming them for molestation when they were children back in the early 1990s – accusations he repeatedly denied.
Documentary legend Louis Theroux has reacted to the BAFTA win, tweeting: "Massive respect to @danreed1000 for the BAFTA win and for his unflinching demonstration of techniques of child abuse used by Michael Jackson."

It's not the first time that Theroux has spoken about the highly-contentious documentary and its claims, as last year he stated: "I believe that Michael Jackson was a paedophile.
"He was never found guilty in a court of law, so someone would come back to me and say, 'Well he's innocent until proven guilty' – to which I would say, 'Well, look, do some research and I think you'll find that the evidence is compelling'."
Following the release of the documentary last year, The Simpsons episode 'Stark Raving Dad' that featured the singer was pulled from circulation and not uploaded to streaming service Disney+.
Up until his death in 2009, Jackson denied all allegations of sexual misconduct against children.
