Love Island's Tanya shocks villa with speech about Shaq and Martin

Love Island spoilers follow.

Tanya made a brave call on Love Island tonight, declaring her love for Shaq in a speech in front of all the other Islanders.

The couple's relationship had been under strain before Casa Amor, and was close to being over when Tanya decided to recouple with Martin.

In recent days, she has voiced her uncertainty regarding her chosen one, but seemingly made a decision in tonight's episode when she snuck off to steal a kiss from Shaq during the night.

She later told Martin that the spark was no longer there between them.

Following a VIP party with guests Jax Jones and Calum Scott, Tanya shocked the villa when she stood up in front of the other Islanders, including Martin, and confessed her love for Shaq.

Fans were not best pleased by Tanya's gesture, with one tweeting: "Tanya apologising to Shaq for embarrassing him by embarrassing Martin is so insane." Another fan tweeted: "what…is tanya… doing… brooooo martin was understanding but this is so unnecessary to him."

And judging by the preview for tomorrow night's show, Martin isn't about to take Tanya's comments lying down either.

"You're a liar, you're not sincere," Martin is heard telling Tanya. "You made me look like I was dumb."

Elsewhere, Ron and Lana became the latest couple to enjoy a night in the hideaway. While Kai and Senam also got some alone time after being sent on their first date.

The pair, who have grown close over the last few days, went for a romantic kayak trip at the lake, with the couple admitting that they "love their chats so much".

It wasn’t all plain sailing (or kayaking) for Kai, however, with Olivia insisting that she deserved an apology after the events at the recoupling ceremony. Kai was adamant that he had nothing to apologise for, and reiterated that the pair need to put more energy into the current partners.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
