Lupin Plots New Heist in Part 3 Trailer
Being France’s most wanted fugitive isn’t stopping Assane Diop from setting his sights on a new target in Lupin Part 3.
In the above newly released trailer, the infamous con man plots to steal the Black Pearl… and he’s inviting the public to his robbery, prompting his friend Ben to declare that Assane is “insane.”

At the conclusion of Part 2 (which dropped way back in June 2021!), Assane had managed to evaded the authorities and sent a message to his wife Claire and son Raoul to meet him at the bridge where they decided on their son’s name. When Assane reunited with his family, his declared that his fight against Pellegrini was finally over, but he was only causing problems for Claire and Raoul and needed to go away.
“Now in hiding, Assane must learn to live far from his wife and son,” reads the synopsis for Part 3. “With the suffering they endure because of him, Assane can’t stand it any longer and decides to return to Paris to make them a crazy proposal: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will turn his plans upside down.”
One of those threats issues Assane a challenge in the trailer: hand over the Black Pearl, or someone close to him will suffer.
Lupin Part 3 premieres Friday, Oct. 5, on Netflix with all seven episodes.
