Man in critical condition after Coquitlam fight
A man in his 20s is in critical condition after a fight Friday night in Coquitlam.
RCMP spokesman Sgt. Tony Farahbakhchian said the victim was found between 10 and 11 p.m. PT in the 1000 block of Austin Avenue, which borders the Austin Heights and Maillardville neighbourhoods.
"He had sustained some injuries to his head," Sgt. Farahbakhchian said.
"It was a physical altercation. The person wasn't stabbed, or didn't sustain any gunshot injuries — just a physical altercation."
Police don't know what prompted the fight and, as of Saturday morning, don't have any suspects.
