Man in his early 20s dies after shooting in northeast Calgary

Calgary police are investigating after a Friday evening shooting left a man in his early 20s dead.

The man was in life-threatening condition with apparent gunshot wounds when he was dropped off at the Peter Lougheed Centre shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.

He later died in hospital.

Anyone who has dashcam footage or who witnessed "suspicious activity" near 84th Street and McKnight Boulevard N.E. between 8 and 9 p.m. Friday is being asked to contact police.

Police said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
