Man guilty of manslaughter over death in Dover

A man has been convicted of manslaughter over the death of another man at an address in Dover.

Ajay Porter, 36 and from Oswald Road, Dover, Kent, was found guilty on Monday of the manslaughter of Derek O'Hare, after a trial at Canterbury Crown Court.

Porter was acquitted of murder and possessing a blade in a public place.

He is due to be sentenced on 30 July.

Police found Mr O'Hare, who was 66, at an address in Anstee Road, on 11 December 2023.

He had suffered multiple injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
