Man pulled from Lac Leamy in Gatineau dies
A 24-year-old man has died after he was pulled from the water at Lac Leamy in Gatineau on Thursday evening.
A group of nearby picnickers noticed a commotion on the beach just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
One witness said the man had been hanging out on the beach with a "group of five or six guys," kicking a soccer ball around, before he went into the water.
He was pulled from the water and attempts were made to resuscitate him before he was taken to the intensive care unit in Gatineau.
He died on Friday in hospital, police confirmed.
