Man sentenced after threatening to burn down teacher's house
A man in Postville has been sentenced for threatening a teacher in the community.
RCMP said the man, 50, made threats to burn down the teacher's house. As a result, some residents refused to send their kids to school.
Police said the man pleaded guilty to uttering threats in provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Thursday.
He received a 28-day jail sentence and will be on probation for one year.
