Man seriously injured in shooting at Fresno home. He was found in doorway, police say

Police are investigating an overnight shooting on Saturday that sent a man to the hospital.

Officers responded to the single-round ShotSpotter electronic activation just after 12:30 a.m. to Lewis Avenue and Thesta Street, Fresno police Lt. Zeb Price said.

Officers arrived and found a man in his 20s in the doorway of a home with a wound to the upper body. He was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition, Price said.

Detectives are investigating the shooting.

Several other people were on scene who were cooperating with officers, Price said.

Suspect description was not immediately available.

One person was hit with possible debris, however, but did not go to the hospital.
