Man shot twice in east Modesto expected to live, police say. Suspect arrested

A shooting on the 2700 block of Roselle Avenue in Modesto on Tuesday resulted in an arrest and an injury, according to the Modesto Police Department.

Officers got the call at around 3:45 p.m. and went to the east Modesto home to investigate.

They found an adult man who lived at the home, was shot twice during an altercation. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Douglas Wrennick, 54, was arrested immediately, said Sharon Bear, spokesperson for MPD. He was charged with assault with a firearm and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

The relationship between Wrennick and the victim was not disclosed by MPD.
