Two people are now facing charges linked to a fatal shooting in Mississauga in March, Peel Regional Police say.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said the charges stem from a shooting in a parking lot in the area of the Queensway East and Dixie Road on March 21.

Police say the victims — 37-year-old Toronto man Alastair Robinson and an 18-year-old man from Whitby — were in the parking lot of an event space when someone shot at them from a vehicle.

Robinson was shot and killed at the scene, while the other victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say a 30-year-old Brampton man was arrested on April 16, and he has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and a host of other firearms charges.

A 24-year-old woman from Guelph, meanwhile, was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, as well as firearms charges.

Police say a Canada-wide warrant has also been issued for a third man from Brampton on murder and attempted murder charges.
