With most of the world in lockdown, there's never been a better time to reunite with old friends. Well, virtually anyway.

That's what the Maze Runner cast decided to do on Tuesday (March 31) to bring a smile to our faces during these trying times.

Kaya Scodelario, Dylan O'Brien, Will Poulter, Ki Hong Lee, Dexter Darden and Thomas Brodie-Sangster all got together for the group chat, two years after the release of the franchise's third film Death Cure.

But Kaya also threw a bit of shade at the series' final instalment by captioning a screenshot of the chat on Instagram: "We survived the Glade, the Scorch & whatever the third one was about. We got this."

Maze Runner: The Death Cure wasn't well received by critics upon its release, with many panning the film's plot.

Digital Spy's review of the film read: "A high-concept series which can't maintain the intrigue of its opening premise, by the end it's become another good-natured but generic tale of kids versus adults versus zombies, with the dirty dystopia of the world outside the maze nothing new or different."

Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic also recently led to a virtual reunion between Harry Potter stars Jason Isaacs and Tom Felton.

The father-son duo took part in the conversation in support of the British Red Cross, which has started a Phone A Friend campaign in these challenging times.
