Meghan Markle’s Skinny Jeans Aren’t Just Cool—They’re Fashion Activism
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, continued to champion female empowerment and ethical fashion on her first royal tour.
Since becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has used her new platform to spotlight women’s rights issues and push for female empowerment around the globe. Naturally, this approach extends to her fashion choices, which in Markle’s hands have become a powerful messaging tool.
Case in point: Today in Dubbo, Australia, Markle wore $200 skinny jeans from Outland Denim, a sustainable organic denim label that provides jobs and skills training for women in Cambodia. By choosing an ethical denim label—knowing full well the online frenzy with which her looks are covered—Markle in effect performed a quiet act of fashion activism, far greater than the price-conscious royals who preceded her.
Stylistically, the jeans fell within her wheelhouse, and she also wore a Maison Kitsune shirt, J.Crew boots, and a slouchy Prince of Wales check blazer, designed by her friend Serena Williams.

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump’s defense attorney on Thursday accused Stormy Daniels of slowly altering the details of an alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump, trying to convince jurors that a key prosecution witness in the former president's hush money criminal trial cannot be believed. “You have made all of this up, right?” lawyer Susan Necheles asked. “No,” Daniels shot back. As the jury looked on, the two women traded barbs over what Necheles said were inconsistencies in Daniels' descripti
