Which Miami streets are the most popular on Instagram? How hashtags ranked them
It’s no secret that Miami has some of the most picturesque and recognizable sights you can find in the U.S.
Now, a study from Wanderu has confirmed that South Florida is home to the two most famous streets in the U.S. according to Instagram.
Ocean Drive in South Beach claimed the No, 1 spot on the list, with 1,056,081 hashtags on Instagram.
The picturesque road, stretching along the Atlantic from 1st to 15th streets in South Beach, is known for its Art Deco hotels, palm trees and nightlife. Cyclists and rollerbladers can be seen flying down the street on sunny afternoons.
The second place spot went to Northwest Second Avenue in Miami, home to Wynwood Walls.
Wynwood Walls got 961,020 hashtags on Instagram, and posts show off the stunning murals and colorful graffiti in the area.
A third Miami street, Calle Ocho, secured the 16th place spot with 186,284 hashtags. Also known as Southwest Eighth Street, Little Havana’s Calle Ocho was declared a “national treasure” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2017.
To compile its list of the Top 20 most-hashtagged streets, Wanderu first narrowed down its search to the 60 most populous U.S. cities. Then the travel blog used ChatGPT, an AI tool, to compile a list of five famous streets per city. Wanderu then looked at how many hashtags each street has on Instagram, and created the Top 20 list.
