Michelle Obama Has Something to Say About That Meghan Markle Interview

While chatting with Access Hollywood, Obama opened up about her reaction to the interview and touched on the importance of forgiveness.

She said, "My hope is that, when I think about what they're going through, I think about the importance of family, and I just pray that there is forgiveness and there is clarity and love and resolve at some point in time. Because there's nothing more important than family."

As many may already know, Obama and Markle are far from strangers. After the two first met during Obama's book tour in 2018, Markle got the opportunity to interview the former first lady in 2019 for British Vogue. They had a thought-provoking discussion about parenting and girls' education, and according to Markle, Obama's answers were a "thoughtful, reflective and beautifully curated narrative—a gentle reminder not of how but of why she has become such a globally respected public figure."

Markle added, "There's something magical about the way in which she draws you in with her endearingly frank, down-to-earth personality."

Family and forgiveness: very wise words from a very wise woman.
