Mini golf opens in Bellis Fair, started by local couple hoping to bring families together

A new business has moved into Bellis Fair mall, adding a fun, indoor activity for all ages.

Mammoth Mini Golf, an indoor glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course, will host its grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 24. The business was launched by a local husband-and-wife duo.

“We felt that this city is always a little lacking in indoor activities for people to do, especially things that can be done by entire families together,” owner David Prince said in an email to The Herald. “For example, my kids love the trampoline park but when I go there I see virtually any parent that is there sitting in the lobby area on their phones or on the sidelines watching their kids — not actually out there bouncing around with them.”

The family-owned mini golf course was first announced by The Bellingham Herald in October 2023.

“From my position as (general manager) here at the mall I wanted another location that would provide a fun activity for all ages to drive traffic on property not just for our business but for the rest of the mall tenants as well,” Prince wrote.

The 18-hole mini golf course is a good fit for families and allows players of all ages.

Prices vary by age for a round of 18-hole golf, from $16 for adults 20 and older, $13 for teens ages 13-19, $10 for juniors ages 5-12 and children ages 0-4 play for free with a playing person.

Mammoth Mini Golf is located inside the Bellis Fair mall in suite 354 next to Ulta. The business is currently looking for one more employee but plans to be open during regular mall hours of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Bellis Fair mall is at 1 Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham.
