Missing Burlington man found safe

The Halton Regional Police have successfully located Cibert Williams, who was found in good health.

Police expressed gratitude to residents and the media for their support and requested that any photos of Cibert Williams be removed or taken down.

Earlier, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) sought the public's assistance locating the missing Burlington man. Cibert Williams, 70, was last seen on foot at approximately 12:30 pm on June 17, 2024, in Prospect Street and Regency Court in Burlington.

Cibert Williams was described as a black male, approximately 6'0" tall, with a heavy build, bald, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt, grey jacket, denim jeans, and a blue baseball hat.

The state attorney general is investigating the shooting of Nyah Mway, who was shot by Utica police after they tackled him to the ground following a foot chase on Friday.
