Montreal stabbing suspect sought by police

Montreal police are searching for a suspect in a downtown stabbing early this morning.

A 25-year-old man, who was bleeding, presented himself to police officers around 3:30 a.m.

Police said he'd been stabbed several times.

Officers believe the man had been involved in a fight near the corner of Ste-Catherine and Mackay streets in downtown Montreal.

Police said the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He's expected to recover.

Investigators were on the scene early this morning to continue the investigation.
