Morgan Wallen Hit in the Face with a Thong During Concert, Throws Underwear Back into the Crowd

Wallen is currently touring across North American cities, in support of his latest studio album 'One Thing at a Time'

Morgan Wallen's fans are not afraid to get intimate.

At a recent show in Minneapolis, Minn., on Friday, June 21, the "Whiskey Glasses" singer was hit in the face with a fan's thong after it was thrown onstage.

In a fan-captured video posted by Whiskey Riff on X, the 31-year-old country star made his way to one side of the stage as he performed his hit collaboration with Post Malone "I Had Some Help." As he squatted low to sing to his fans, an audience member flung a thong at him and it hit his hat before he caught it in his hand.

Smiling at the situation, Wallen walked to a different side of the stage and threw the thong back into the audience.

Wallen kicked off the 2024 leg of his One Night at a Time World Tour in Indianapolis, Indiana, in April. He will continue to perform in cities across North American before wrapping up on Aug. 9 in Las Vegas.

The tour, which is named after his smash hit third studio album, was extended to 2024 after he had to postpone a number of dates due to vocal fold trauma, or "excessive and improper use of the voice," according to the National Institute of Health. One month later, he was granted permission by doctors to continue performing.

Shortly after he launched his tour, Wallen was arrested on felony charges on April 7 after he allegedly threw a chair from a local rooftop bar.

Days after his arrest, Wallen took "responsibility" for his actions in a statement published on X. The next court date in the case is scheduled for Aug. 15.

After the arrest, Nashville Metro Council members denied a request to install a sign for Wallen's new bar, This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen. At the time, Councilwoman At Large Delishia Porterfield referenced his past behavior while explaining her decision.

“We want to make sure that Nashville was a supportive place for everyone, so I don’t want to see a billboard with the name of a person who’s throwing chairs off of balconies and who is saying racial slurs, using the n-word, so I’m voting no," she said.
