Motorist charged in crash with Norfolk police car

A driver had been charged after a crash near Delhi last week sent two people to hospital, including a police officer.

The two-car crash took place around 7 a.m. on May 16 along Highway 3 by Rhineland Road.

On Wednesday, Norfolk OPP announced a charge of failure to yield to traffic on a through highway against a 65-year-old motorist from Manitowaning, who allegedly hit a police cruiser.

The police officer and the other driver were hospitalized with minor injuries and later released.
