Netflix is raising its prices soon: Here's what to subscribe to instead

Netflix continues to bring us cult-favorite TV series like Stranger Things and Bojack Horseman, but how much are you willing to pay to continue watching the streaming giant? Netflix recently raised its prices, meaning its most popular plan will soon be $13.99 a month, while the premium plan will be $17.99 a month.
Not into the new prices? You're not alone. Thankfully, there are a number of other great streaming services out there that are less expensive than Netflix, each of which brings its own highly-rated TV shows and movies to the table.
Here are some of the best streaming service alternatives to Netflix.
1. Hulu
Hulu is an incredible streaming service for anyone who loves watching new TV series from network channels such as NBC, ABC and Fox. You can also stream the latest episodes of reality shows, like the Masked Singer, or recent episodes of fictional series, like This is Us. Hulu also has a library of TV series (think Rick and Morty) and highly-rated documentaries (Fyre Fraud).

Disney+ is also available for a fraction of the price of Netflix—it only costs $6.99 a month, though you can upgrade to a higher-tier package that incorporates other streaming services like ESPN+ and Hulu.

3. Prime Video
You can't have a streaming list without including Amazon's Prime Video. The e-commerce giant has an expansive selection of TV shows and movies, including original series and recently released blockbusters. Moreover, it's one of the only streaming services where you can rent content as well, setting it apart as one of the most versatile streaming services you can subscribe to.

Apple TV+ is the newest streaming giant to enter the ring, and it's making a considerable marketing effort to get your attention. Though its yet to release a hit TV series with massive acclaim, like other streaming services have, it's available for a fraction of the price—just $4.99 a month.
Notably, it's the only place you can watch It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown this year. This streaming service is definitely one to keep your eye on in 2021 as it continues expanding its library and generating new original series.
