Nick Cannon is spreading holiday cheer in honor of his late son Zen.

The Masked Singer host, 43, shared a touching video on Instagram on Saturday, documenting a recent visit to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where he dressed up as Santa Claus and read to patients more than two years after his infant son died of brain cancer.

"Zen’s Light shining bright for the holidays," Cannon captioned the clip.

"Thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and everyone who made the day so loving, warm and memorable."

In the video, the TV host and musician could be seen decked out in Santa gear as he handed out gifts to young children and gave high-fives to a few new pals.

The visit appeared to be part of the ongoing mission of Cannon's Zen's Light foundation. He and Zen's mother Alyssa Scott announced the foundation in June 2022 in an effort to "foster global excellence in hope, grief care and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need," they previously shared.

The new clip of Cannon's visit, soundtracked by Stevie Wonder's "This Christmas," also featured the title "Zen's Light Holiday Hospital Special" and showed Cannon chatting with another Santa Claus in the hospital as they greeted children.

"Our patients were so grateful for this," one nurse commented on Cannon's post. "Still hearing about it from some of them!"

Cannon revealed in a December 2021 episode of his talk show that 5-month-old Zen died following a fight with brain cancer, which had been discovered three months prior. The busy father previously opened up to PEOPLE in 2021 about what it was like to explain Zen's death to his then six other children at the time, calling it "pretty intense."

"But their understanding and them being there for me probably helped me keep it together as well as really deal with it. Specifically, even, Roc and Roe. They were there for the entire journey," he said of his 12-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey.

Scott, who later welcomed daughter Halo Marie with Cannon in December 2022, previously opened up about how difficult it was to pack up Zen's clothing.

"Well, today is the day I had to pack up Zen's dresser," she wrote on Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of a dresser filled with Zen's clothes. "Thinking I was going to have a boy brought me some comfort because I didn't think I would have to face this part."

"But it's time to make room for Halo 💗 and it's going to be okay," she continued. "Girls rock blue too! So this is what stays 🤍."
