O’Fallon restaurant announces its sudden, permanent closing. Here’s what to know

An O’Fallon eatery is permanently closed.

The owner of O’Town Food Hall & Tap House shared news of its sudden and permanent closure on the business’ website and Facebook page Tuesday.

The notice, signed by owner Stephen Edwards, stated that the business struggled with sales and staffing since the pandemic.

“O’Town Food Hall & Tap House sincerely thanks the people of O’Fallon and the surrounding areas for their support the last one and half years,” stated the notice.

Edwards wrote that those with group reservations would be contacted individually about the closing.

Staff members have also been notified.

“We close this restaurant with a heavy heart, but we are grateful for the friendships, business and memories created,” stated the website notice.

A message left for Edwards was not immediately returned.

O’Town Food Hall & Tap House opened at 1214 Central Park Drive in November 2022.

Prior to that, the location was the site of Hop House Southern Eatery, Fire-N-Smoke Wood-Fired Kitchen and Ravanelli’s Restaurant, all owned or co-owned by Edwards.
