PA election 2023: Watch these interviews to learn more about who’s running in Centre County

The Pennsylvania municipal election is Nov. 7, and Centre County voters have choices for county commissioner and other county offices, along with candidates for school board and those running for local boards and councils.

Many of those candidates recently sat down for C-NET interviews. Below are videos from interviews in each race.

Bellefonte Area Board of School Directors

There are 10 candidates vying for five open seats on Bellefonte’s board. They are: Jennifer Barnhart (R), Patrick Vincent Buck (R), Paul Dombrowski (D), Julie Fitzgerald (D), Timothy Kessling (R), Denelle Korin (D), Donna Smith (D), Kimberly Weaver (R) and Joe Yech (D). State College School Board of Directors

There are 10 candidates vying for five open seats on State College’s school board. They are: Amy Bader (D), Nathan Bish (R), Gretchen Brandt (D), Anne Demo (D), Barry Fenchak (R), Daniel Kolbe (D), John Krajcovic (R), Megan Layng (R), Aaron Miller (D), Michelle Young (R). Centre County Commissioner

There are four candidates vying for three seats on the Centre County Board of Commissioners. Voters will choose two candidates. Incumbents Amber Cistaro Concepcion (D), Steven Dershem (R) and Mark Higgins (D) are running, along with Marie Librizzi (R). They each sat down with WPSU reporter Anne Danahy, and you can watch their interviews below.

Centre County Treasurer

Incumbent Colleen Kennedy (D) faces Justin Behrens (R) in the race for Centre County Treasurer. Watch their interviews below.

Centre County Recorder of Deeds

Incumbent Joseph Davidson (R) faces Robert Zeigler (D) in the race for Centre County Recorder of Deeds. Watch their interviews below.

Bellefonte Borough Council, Ward 2

Deborah Cleeton (D) and Randy Brachbill (R) are candidates for two Bellefonte Borough Council Ward 2 seats. Watch Brachbill’s interview below (Cleeton did not participate).

Bellefonte Borough Council, Ward 3

Joanne Tosti-Vasey (D) and Chistopher Morelli (R) are running for one Bellefonte Borough Council Ward 3 seat. Watch Tosti-Vasey’s interview below (Morelli did not participate).

College Township Council

The three candidates running for three seats of College Township Council are Susan Trainor (D/R), Tracey Mariner (D) and D Richard Francke (D/R). Watch interviews with Trainor and Francke below (Mariner did not participate).

Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors At-Large seat

Omari Patterson (D) faces David Wolfgang (R) for Ferguson Township’s At-Large seat. Watch their interviews with below.

Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, Ward 1

Matthew Heller (D) and Kenneth Raney (R) are the candidates for the Ferguson Township supervisor seat for Ward 1. Watch their interviews below.

Halfmoon Township Board of Supervisors

Voters in Halfmoon Township will vote for no more than two supervisors. Candidates on the ballot are Tammy Perkins (D), Patti Hartle (D), Steven Schellberg (R) and Rose Ann Hoover (R). Watch their interviews below (Hoover and Schellberg did not participate).

Harris Township Board of Supervisors

There are three candidates for two seats on the Harris Township Board of Supervisors — Nigel Wilson (D/R), Tracey Moriarty (D) and Charles Bud Graham (R). Watch their interviews below.
