A woman's parents and a personal support worker have been charged after a 29-year-old woman died nearly two years ago.

Windsor police said on Thursday that officers went to a home on Meadowbrook Lane on April 19, 2022 for a report of an unresponsive woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The service's major crimes unit investigated and "determined that reasonable grounds existed to charge three Windsor residents with manslaughter and failure to provide the necessaries of life."

The names of the accused have not been released to protect the identity of the victim, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked  to contact the Major Crimes Unit or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stopper.
