Pedestrian struck, critically injured near Algonquin College

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle's driver near Algonquin College in Ottawa Thursday night.

Emergency crews were called to Navaho Drive, which runs behind and beside the College Square mall, around 10:40 p.m.

A man was rushed to hospital in critical condition, according to Marc-Antoine Deschamps with the Ottawa Paramedic Service.

Ottawa police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact them. They didn't mention any suspects or arrests in their news release.

Lydia currently isn't showing any signs of cognitive decline but will if she doesn't receive treatment.
